Sammy P. Darling, II
Sammy P. Darling, II, is a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, author, life coach, workshop facilitator, pastor, preacher, teacher, mentor, and formerly, a certified modern-day blacksmith who helps men step out of aimless drifting, and step into positive purpose. Born in Oakland, CA, and raised in Los Angeles, CA, (by way of Calion, AR), “Coach Sam” draws from years in the forge—both literal and personal, in the development of the transformative life crucible, he calls, The F.O.R.G.E..
The F.O.R.G.E. is a proven five-phase framework that enables growth-minded men to discover and/or reclaim their true identity. It’s a life substructure that engenders integrity, responsibility, and the establishment of enduring legacy. His work has had significant impact on fathers, husbands, and leaders/leadership figures in social, corporate, and ecumenical spaces. Men who, to some degree, and by some standards, might have been outwardly, and on the surface, “successful” - but inwardly, by their own latent standards - were unsettled and unsubstantial. Men who now lead with integrity, clarity, peace, and conviction.
With self-reflective honesty and hard-won wisdom, Sam shows that most men don’t need fixing—they need forging. They need a forging that takes the intense heat from the "workshop furnace" that we call life, as well as the intense pressures of an often-unforgiving life, (both internal and external), and moderates them - calibrates them - reconstitutes them, ultimately, “forging” them. In doing this, "Coach Sam, the Blacksmith" facilitates this transformational process that is his mission, that is his calling - which simply put - is to help men discover not only who they really are, but also, all that they could/should be! So that they can, now, lead in their homes, at work, in their communities, and in the entirety of their lives - with dignity, integrity and a positive strength born out of encouraging and nurturing influence, and not just positional authority or brute force.
